Notification Out For PUNJAB  STATE  TEACHERS  ELIGIBILITY  TEST- ( PSTET ) 2014


The Department of School Education, Government of Punjab has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) to the SCERT, Punjab which shall be held on 10.8.2014.
Qualifying the PSTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.
The Reason for including the TET as a minimum qualification for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher is as under:

1. It would bring national standards and benchmark of teacher quality in the recruitment process
2. It would induce teacher education institutions and students from these institutions to further improve their performance standards
3. It would send a positive signal to all stakeholders that the Government lays special emphasis on teacher quality

3	Last Date of Form Receiving Forms Received after 24-JUL-2014 will not be entertained	24-JUL-2014
4	Uploading of Admit Card (online)	30-JUL-2014 (8 pm onwards)
5	Conduct of written Examination PSTET-I (Morning) & PSTET-II (Evening)	10-AUG-2014 (Sunday)
